  • 121 South Main Street Lexington, VA 24450 USA (map)

Learn more about the history and utility of Sashiko stitching in a casual 2-hour class at Make It Sew.

This embroidery technique came out of a mending tradition in Japan, where it was used to keep work clothes and household textiles in use.

We’ll be using a kit in this introductory class; you’ll learn how to use your Sashiko skills to mend clothes and embellish textiles and other items.
